Can Automatic On/Off Switch For Compartment Light Work on Cargo Bay Doors

The cargo bay doors on my 2018 Canyon Star open horizontally with a gas spring mounted at the bottom of the door. Could these switches work with this application?

Sure, I can't see any reason why the Automatic On/Off Switch for RV Compartment Light - Strut Mount - 42" Wire Leads # DG52479VP couldn't work with your cargo bay doors. So long as you have 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, or 12 mm gas strut rods it should work just fine.
