Does the dome light have to be hard wired? My light is battery operated on my Snugtop. Thank you

The Automatic On/Off Switch for RV Compartment Light part # DG52479VP must be installed using a 12 volt hardwired light that attaches directly to a battery as this is how the switch can interrupt and apply power to the light. The Optronics LED RV Interior Double Dome Light part # RVILL34 would be a good option to use with the Automatic On/Off Switch for RV Compartment Light but I have attached a list of other options for you as well.
