Updated 01/08/2024 | Published 01/07/2024

Question:

Four Winns Trailer model DO210MTT.Two - 3500lb axles. 2013. I would like part numbers for new hubs with greased bearings, and the electric brake conversion parts. + Anything else I need for a complete re-re on the axels. My dust seals are good.

We can definitely help with that. Since your trailer uses a 3,500 lb axle it should use standard bearing sizing. That being an # L68149 (1.378" inner diameter) inner bearing and a # L44649 (1.063" inner diameter) outer bearing. If that is what you have, you can use the Easy Grease Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K. This hub comes pre-grease and has a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. new dust caps are included.

To convert to electric brakes you will also need the etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes # AKEBRK-35-SA. These are sold as a pair so you will need two pairs if you intend to put brakes on both axles. You will also need the Mounting Hardware # BRKH10B, if you do not have some already.

You will need a 7 way plug for the trailer like part # H20044. This is a 7 way plug with a 6' long lead. These are available in different lengths if needed. You will need an emergency Breakaway kit # 20400.

We recommend running your electrical connections thru a junction box # 3375601101. Brake wire is available by the foot with part # 12-2-1. You will need some butt connectors # DW05745-10 and ring terminals # DW05740-1.

The tow vehicle will need to be equipped with a 7 way plug and a trailer brake controller. If that is something you are in need of, feel free to send me more specifics such as YMM of the tow vehicle and I can make recommendations.

We have an article that goes over in detail how to add electric drum brakes to a trailer. You will find it linked below.
