Question:
I am looking at getting the hellwig 990 helper spring for my 2011 silverado 1500. I am just wonderingnif the ubolts are long enough to accomodate an add a leaf that is already on the truck.

Probably not. I can't say no for sure because I don't know what's on your truck. However, the U-bolts and hardware included with the Hellwig EZ-990 Helper Springs item # HE38FR are designed for the stock suspension on your 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500. If there has been an extra leaf added you will most likely need longer U-bolts.
