Hi! Do you know if the 1up USA Aluminum Quik-Rack 1 Bike Hitch System will fit in this part # C11174 1-1/4inch hitch receiver for a 2002 BMW 330xi? Thank you!

I took a look at the 1up website and the bike rack in question. It does show it fits 1-1/4 inch trailer hitches but does not say if that includes Class I and II hitches or just Class II hitches. Also there were no measurements to determine if the rack would clear the rear of the vehicle. I looked for a phone number to call them but they did not have one listed.

I am certain the rack will fit the hitch # C11174 but what I cannot figure out at this time is if it will clear the rear of the vehicle. When we installed this hitch on a vehicle it measured 6-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to clear the rear bumper. If you can contact 1up and determine the rack sticks out far enough then there should be no problem.

If I was going to spend that kind of money on a rack I would go with a Saris Freedom SuperClamp EX, # SA4025F. With it would not have to buy any add-ons to carry more than one bike. It also has an integrated cable lock and a locking anti-rattle hitch pin. It weighs only 28 pounds and it is made in the USA. And I know for sure that it will fit the hitch.
