When the door to our over the stove Furrion microwave is closed, the inside light will not go off, and the microwave won’t work

@RobertS From what you're describing, it sounds like the microwave isn't recognizing that the door is fully closed. When the interior light stays on and the microwave won't run, the most common cause is a problem with the door safety interlock switches or the door latch. The microwave sees the door as being open, so it locks itself out as a safety precaution. I'd start by taking a close look at the door latches and the area where they engage the microwave. Make sure there isn't any grease, food debris, or anything else preventing the door from closing completely. Then check that the plastic latch hooks on the door aren't loose, damaged, or worn. Sometimes the latch isn't making solid contact with the switches inside the microwave. One thing that's worth trying is gently lifting up on the door handle as you close it. If the light goes out when you do that, there's a good chance the bracket that holds the door switches has shifted or worn over time. That's something that can happen on microwaves after years of use. If that doesn't make a difference, the door interlock switch assembly itself may have failed and would likely need to be repaired or replaced. Can I ask what model Furrion microwave you have? That will help me see if there are any model specific parts or troubleshooting steps that apply.
