Question:

Will this unit be able to replace a converter that is in a older motorhome 1976 Coachman Leprechaun? The existing one is hardwired and I realize I would have to add a receptacle with the new one and thats no problem, but want to make sure the specs would still work. Here is a photo of what I have currently that failed which I am looking to completely swap out for this PD4655V:

To replace your Phillips PC-301-A-1 Converter, I recommend the Progressive Dynamics 9300 Series RV Converter Charger # PD69RR. This is a 45 amp converter with virtually identical input/output as your old Phillips unit. You will have to add a receptacle in order to use this converter. As far as specs this will be a suitable replacement. As a matter of fact, this will be a pretty big upgrade from a 1970s converter.
