Question:
I have a 2021 Elite 32ft. gooseneck flatbed trailer with 10k electric brakes. They are manual adjusted brakes. Can I replace the manual brake adjustment screws with the Self adjusting screws? Or do I need a whole different brake assembly?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Parts from manual and self-adjusting brakes are not interchangeable. Unfortunately, this means you cannot add the # 048-023-00 to your current brakes to make them self-adjusting. There is more to self-adjusting brakes than the adjuster screw so the best option is to replace the brakes completely. For replacement brakes you can use the Electric Trailer Brake Kit w/ Dust Shields # AKEBRK-10. These 12-1/4" brake assemblies have a 7-bolt brake flange pattern and are rated for 10k axles. If you need new mounting hardware you can use the # BRKH122510.
