The 2 easiest ways to tell if your 2020 Toyota Highlander XLE has the factory tow wiring is to either check behind the paneling next to the 3rd row seating on the driver's side to see if a connector is there that the Curt # C56RV module plugs into, or to reach out to your local Toyota dealer with your VIN and they can get that info for you.

If you don't have the factory wiring then you need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C76CR which tees in behind your tail lights and pulls power directly from your vehicle battery.

Then for a trailer hitch receiver I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e75ZR because of the matte black finish that matches any black trim on your vehicle and does a great job at hiding any scratches that might happen due to kicked up road debris. Please note that with any hitch receiver installed, your spare tire will only fit if it's 18" or smaller. Anything larger than that will need to be stored elsewhere.
