Will A vent Cover Cause My Vent Motor To Burn Out If It Can't Open All The Way?

I was reading the questions on vent covers, someone asked the question about a vent cover that allows the vent to open up all the way.The reply was,that there is no vent cover tall enough to allow that,,but an electric vent would automatically stop when it hits resistance. That has been my problem trying to find one tall enough and I was worried it was going to continue running and burn a motor up so you are saying it is fine.

When using a vent cover like the # DMC38FR which does not allow the vent to open all the way, the motor will stop once it feels resistance and it will hold that position without any problems.

Hi Mark; more than likely the 5-1/2" will work but it won't be the #SN27FR. With your 5-3/4" measurement you probably need the #SN39FR for square feet. These also fit 5-3/4" round Reico Titan jack feet which are common on a lot of…
