Question:

Hi I have a Carlisle 1200PSI electric over hydraulic system controlled be Prodigy Plus 2 controller programmed for elec over hyd. The hydraulic pump runs continuously when brake pedal is pressed even when stopped in traffic with foot on brake pedal. I would have thought the pump should stop/cut out when full pressure reached maybe after a few seconds time delay. Thx

What you are describing is normal behavior from your Carlisle Hydrastar brake actuator # HBA-12. It's going to run when you have the brakes applied. Without trying to be super confusing basically if the brakes are applied the actuator has to be running to create pressure. It doesn't have a way to create pressure and then hold that pressure without the pump runnig. Also this helps too as if the braking pressure were to suddenly change it would need to be dynamic enough to quickly change.
