Question:

What is MHBA-16 and the HBA-16 brake controller. Looking for a controller for a tandem dual gooseneck with 12,000 lbs axles. Thanks

It sounds like you are comparing the Hydrastar Vented Marine Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator # HS381-8067 and the Hydrastar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator # HBA16. The Marine # HS381-8067 features stainless steel hardware, a vented end plate, and a sealed housing unit. This is a better option if you are in an area near the ocean which sees a lot of humidity and extreme temperature swings. Otherwise the Standard # HBA16 is going to be all you will need. If you need help finding any brake line kits I would need to know the distance from where you intend to install the actuator to the front axle.

You will need to ensure your trailer brake controller is compatible with electric over hydraulic trailer brakes. Most factory trailer brake controllers will require a Adapter Module # HBA-CAM for the controller to work properly.
