Troubleshooting Loss Of Running Lights After Installing The Roadmaster Diode Wiring Kit
Published 08/22/2023 >
Question:
I have a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with factory installed tow kit. Since installing this kit I do not have power being sent to tail lights on my boat trailer. I have brake and turn signals but no lights when I turn on head lights. What do I need to do to correct this? A wiring diagram would be helpful. Thanks

If only the running lights are having an issue on the trailer I recommend first checking the trailer connector on the back of your Wrangler to see if the issue is with the Jeep and the diode kit # RM-15267 you installed. You can turn on the running lights and check the pin on your 4 or 7-way connector to see if the signal is coming through.
If it is then the issue lies with the trailer and you'll need to work your way from the trailer connector to the lights to determine where the issue is.
As for the wiring diagram for the # RM-15267, I've attached it below so that you can confirm that you didn't accidentally install it wrong and cause the issue your currently facing.
