Question:
Im cautious about over tightening the Demco Orfice Fitting into the Demco DM72 VRs composite master cylinder. Do I tighten this untill it bottoms out, or is there a recommended torque? This fitting appears to be non-tapered. Teflon tape mostly desolves in contact with brake fluid.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Orifice will tighten until it bottoms out inside the Master Cylinder # 5650 on the Actuator # DM72VR. The technician at Demco said there is not an exact torque figure they can give, just to tighten it until you feel the threads stop. The threads do not require any sealant to seal off the brake fluid from leaking.
