Is Sealant Needed When Installing Rubber Wiper Slide Out Seals

Question:
Is it required to put sealant around the edge where the seals meets the trailer? Or does the 3M tape seal it sufficiently

Sealant isn't required when installing the Rubber Wiper Seal and Bulb for RV Slide Out # SR68FR, but I would put a few screws in to help hold the seal since the trailer will bake in the sun and can cause issues with the 3M tape. At minimum I would put a screw on each end. You'll want to overlap your seals so that the top seal sits over the side seals to prevent water from leaking past them.
