Question:

I have a 2023 Ram 1500 classic. When I enter my vehicle it only lists 3 choices of brake controllers. Are those the only ones that are comparable or should I just search by 2023 Ram 1500 . Many more options available with the later search criteria. Thanks.

Both the 2023 Ram 1500 and the 2023 Ram 1500 Classic use the same brake controller wiring adapter so for this circumstance you definitely can look through either fitguide, but there are other products that specific fits so I don't recommend making it a habit.

Out of the available options I recommend the following:

- Curt Echo Under-Dash # C27JR
- Custom Wiring Adapter # C51458

With this system you'll monitor and adjust your trailer brake settings with an app on your phone but once everything is setup it's completely hands-free. The only time you need to touch your screen is if you need to apply the manual override button. Since the module installs under your dash you won't have to cut or drill anything to change the OEM look of your truck cab.
