Info Needed to Pick Out Replacement Brake Assemblies for Trailer

Question:
Recently acquired shasta 245 1997 2 axle travel trailer with electric brakes that need overhaul. Mags and shoes have life left in them but the drum brake components such as springs and shoe hardware are in poor shape. Not travelling long distances but highways are highways! Best option? Thanks K.

Expert Reply:
For brake components that are that old it would be the smartest and easiest to just replace the brake assemblies. Reason being the individual replacement parts are very specific in what assemblies they can fit but the replacement brake assemblies are all basically universal when replaced as a whole. To pick out replacement assemblies I would need the inner dimensions of the hub/drum that you have or the axle capacity.
