Can The Same Weight Distribution Hitch Used With Dump Trailer Be Used With a Travel Trailer?

I am interested in a weight distribution hitch for a dump trailer GTW 14000 #. The tongue weight is around 1200 # when loaded. Tow vehicle is F250. I suppose a heavy duty WDH wouldnt work too well with a travel trailer that has a tongue weight that is much less, as we are looking for one. Thanks.

Your situation is a great option for the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution # BLU54TR. This particular kit is rated for trailers up to 15,000lbs with a tongue weight of 1,000-1,500lbs. When you need to haul your travel trailer you can use some different spring bars that are better for the weight of your smaller trailer. There are the 750-1,000LB Bars # BXW4007 and 550-750LB Bars # BXW4006 which will be closer to what your travel trailer requires.
We also have Lift Brackets # BXW4010 if you do not want to have to move them from trailer to trailer as you switch trailers.
