Over/Under Conversion Kit Option For Small Cargo Trailer
Published 07/13/2023 >
Question:
I am looking at the over the axle leaf spring conversion kit for my 6x12 cargo trailer. The only # I can see on the axle is stamped in and it is 2.132. Could you please tell me which kit would work for this axle? Thank you.

Helpful Expert Reply:
I have no way of knowing the correct over/under conversion kit for your small cargo trailer (or any way to reference 2.132), but I can tell you based on its size the most likely option is the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-384-00.
The # K71-384-00 is for 2-3/8" diameter axles, which is almost always a 3,500 lb axle. Really the only thing you can do is use calipers to find the diameter of the axle to see if this kit will work for you.
