Increasing Rim/Tire Size From 8 to 12 or 13

Question:
Increasing rim/tire size from 8inch to 12inch or 13inch to reduce the tire over all tire rotation speed, is it also a better idea to change the hub assembly to a larger wheel lug pattern and/or number of lugs, such as 4.5-to-5 5 lug? Thanks

As long as the larger wheel you choose has a compatible bolt pattern with your hub, you have sufficient clearance between the tire and the fender, and you do not exceed the weight capacity of the hub you can switch up to a larger wheel with no problem.
If you wanted to go from a hub with a 5 on 4-1/2 to a 5 on 5 bolt pattern I can check for something compatible, if you would provide me with the inner and outer bearing and grease seal reference numbers.
