Question:

I have a Curt weight distribution hitch and looking for replacement parts. Cotter broke, nut loosened, bent the bolt and wore out a bushing. It’s a Curt S0529X R1 made in 2015. It’s a long bolt with the bushing and spring that holds one side of the bar connecting to the hitch.

Thank you for the photos of your Curt weight distribution system! I'm not sure what that number on the sticker means, but from the pics you sent in that looks to be a TruTrack system like what we see with part # C17499.

Unfortunately Curt doesn't sell all of those internal pieces for the head unit because they don't want just anybody taking it apart and messing with things. So for your application I recommend either replacing the head unit only with one that has the same weight rating, like part # C17506 rated for the 8K system, or by pursuing a warranty as it looks like the TruTrack systems come with a 10-year limited warranty.
