how far back from the ball do you need to mount the clamp on brackets on the trailer frame

I spoke with my contact at Curt who said that the ideal location for the brackets is 28" on your frame from the hitch ball for the Curt TruTrack # C17499. He did say that they designed this Weight Distribution (WD) system so that you have a little more freedom in where you mount the brackets due to propane tanks or other accessories so there is a little wiggle room in the exact location.
