Question:

I have a 2021 Airstream Atlas motorhome on MB Sprinter 3500 chassis and I want to flat tow my 2023 Ford Maverick Hybrid. I need the complete system and want Blue OX baseplate, Blue Ox towing bar, and Blue Ox Patriot braking system. Please advise me of all equipment and model numbers that I need to flat tow my Maverick. Thanks.

To flat tow your 2023 Ford Maverick with a Blue Ox set up you will need the follow parts:

Tow Bar and Safety Chains - Blue Ox Alpha 2 Non-Binding Tow Bar item # BX7380

Base Plate Kit - Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - item # BLU88XR

Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267

Supplemental Braking System - Blue Ox Patriot Radio Frequency, Portable Braking System - item # BLU37TR and Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles item # RM-88400

High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. If using the brake light relay kit on a '24 Maverick, won't it affect putting it into flat tow mode since you must hit the brake pedal to activate the start stop button to put it into that mode?

@David No, it won't. Just like driving around with the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles item # RM-88400 won't affect it either. It's only designed to function when the RV's lights are on and you're connected.

@JerredH I don't think you understand the question. If you bypass the brake switch I didn't think it will not work when you hit the brake to put the vehicle into neutral tow mode.

@David It's two separate systems. You can still press the pedal to engage tow mode with the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles item # RM-88400 installed. It does not interfere with your Maverick's electrical system.
