I would like to upgrade my Reese weight distribution hitch to a 2-1/2 in shank to get rid of the sleeve that I have to use for the 2 in shank it currently has. Is there any product available or compatible to that as I cannot find anything?

You can absolutely convert your Reese weight distribution hitch with a 2 inch shank to a 2-1/2 inch shank. Weight distribution hitch shanks can be mixed and matched so you can swap them out without any issue. For a 2-1/2 inch shank use the following:

- Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank - 2-1/2" Hitch - 10" Rise/6" Drop # EQ90-02-4900

Hey Merrit, yes you can swap just the shank of your current system so that it an be used in your new larger hitch size. All you would need is the correct shank like the part #EQ90-02-4800 that you referenced.
