What size are the wires leaving the magnets on this set of brakes? If I use your recommended 10ga wire, what connectors are recommended to make the connection?

The Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit item # 23-468-469 uses 12 gauge wire. It is highly recommend to run 10 gauge wire like item # 10-1-1 from your 7-way connector.

I recommend using the Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connector item # DW05745-10 to make the connections. These connectors work with both 12 and 10 gauge wire.
