Question:
Hello ! We recently broke a leaf spring on our tandem axle 18 Ft toy hauler and would like to replace all the suspension parts ! The axle is 3 inch in diameter which I believe is 5200 lbs! The wheels are a 5 lug on 205/75/15 tires! Right now the springs measure 26 inch under weight of trailer ! They are old and well used for sure ! And are 4 leaf ! Any idea of springs , shackle’s , equalizer , u bolts I might need for the job ? Thank you for the help and time !

Helpful Expert Reply:
For leaf springs you would want the part # e34SR which is a 25-1/4 inch long leaf spring that is rated for a 6k axle. The shorter length of this would match up well with what you have now. Then for a U-bolt kit you would want the part # APUBR-8 which is correct for 3 inch diameter axles. Then for a tandem axle equalizer and shackle kit you'd need the part # AP233 and you'd be set.
