Correct Replacement for Dexter Leaf Spring 072-078-00

Question:
I have a 2021 forest river fsx 178 bhsk. Need to replace the leaf springs. I have a 4400lb axle. Dexter has not been very helpful. The part number currently for my leaf springs is 072-078-00. Ive been reading I can use springs rated for a 5000lb axle. I understand I still have to keep my load as its rated for. What springs would be best the E28SR or the E44SR?

Expert Reply:
The 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring part # e44SR is what I recommend using to replace your Dexter Leaf Spring 072-078-00. It's the same length but a slightly higher capacity, 4,400 lbs vs. 5,000 lbs which is not much so it won't really affect the ride and they will last slightly longer.
