Question:

What is the correct replacement step for a Kwikee 903906000 step. This is a single step, 24 inch wide, 10 inch deep with about an 8 inch . Thanks for any help.

According to the code you provided you would have a 39 series step so the Kwikee Electric RV Step Complete Assembly # LC3724742 would be the correct replacement. The exact replacement for this specific model was discontinued so you'll notice that the dimensions are slightly off (about 1/4") but this is going to be the closest option.

In my experience it's best to replace the door sensor when you swap out the steps since the it always seems be the cause of any malfunctions after steps are replaced. The door sensor is the small magnet that tells the control module when the door of your motorhome is closed or open and will have the steps extend or retract accordingly. Most people would just want to reuse their old components for an easy swap out but this is one that I tend to have to replace regardless so I would just plan on swapping it out.

We don't have an installation video for these specific steps, but I've gone ahead and attach a similar step installation I did to give you some pointers and show you the door magnet. I recommend wearing some safety glasses to protect your eyes from falling rust or debris during this installation and to use some heat shrink butt connectors # DW05744-10 to waterproof your electrical connections.
