How is Yakima Lock Core Removed from Rack

How do I remove the tumbler from the old part and install it in the new part. Is there a release pinhole somewhere?

To remove a Yakima lock cylinder from one of their racks you need to have the lock core in the unlocked position and then insert a control key like part # Y8007835 into the core and once it's fully seated in the core you can pull it out.

As long as your existing lock is in the unlocked position you can use key #Y8007835 to remove the old lock and install the new one. If they are locked then you would need to have a locksmith pick the lock or the lock would have to be drilled out.
