Mounting Bracket Dimensions of Brophy Camper Scissor Steps # AS24

Question:
Hi ! I have a 2016 Travel Lite 625 SLT Truck bed camper The door is 24inch wide, the mounting area beneath the door is only 1 7/8inch tall. My question concerns the V- tab on the mounting bracket, how much clearance do I need so the tab is not hindering the door operation ? Is the mounting bracket included with the steps ?

The overall height of the mounting bracket of the RV Steps part # AS24 is 1-5/8 inches so if you have 1-7/8 inches available this would fit there. The mounting bracket is included with the step.
