Question:
Hello, I have a Grans Design 5th wheel and looking at brakes. My current brake assemblies are parts are Dexter 23-458/459. Drums are BD2 655. Can you tell me what other brands you carry and the cross reference part number. I see Lippert and other manufacturers parts but can’t tell if they replace what I have. Thank you

Expert Reply:
The Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-458-459 you have now is designed for 6,000 lb axles and fits 12" x 2" drums. In addition to the Dexter we have the etrailer # AKEBRK-7-SA or the TruRyde # TRU96FR.
All three of these are self-adjusting brake assemblies. If you're looking to save some money I would go with the etrailer brakes. If that is not a concern, I would stick with the Dexter brakes. If you need replacement mounting hardware as well you can use the # BRKH12.
