Can B and W Companion Hitch BWRVK3600 be Used with Wedge for Sidewinder

Question:
I have a 2022 RAM 3500 with the 6’4” bed. I also have a BandW RVK3600 BWRVK3600. I purchased the wedge that you mentioned on your site, but just noticed an orange warning sicker on the hitch that says not to use the hitch with a wedge. The question is to use the wedge or get a slider hitch.

It is really interesting that B and W has a sticker on the head of their Companion hitch part # BWRVK3600 that says not to use a wedge like the # SWW-06 but in the owners manual there's an entire section that details how to use a wedge and says that it's okay to do. We've sold quite a few of these wedges and not had any issues so I would feel confident saying that despite B and W's mixed messages you can use the wedge.
The head of this hitch is the same as the one that fits the Turnoverball gooseneck hitch which based on how it attaches to the truck can't be used with a Sidewinder. I think it's pretty safe to assume that's why it's there.
