Is the 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter Needed for the 2024 GMC Sierra 3500?

Since pulse modulation does not look like it's going anywhere, you are going to need the 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter for Furrion RV Observation Camera # FR87PR.

I have a 2024 GMC 2500 h.d. 6.6l and was told I need the Furrion 7 pin adapter to be able to use my Furrion S trailer cameras. We took a trip this weekend for the first time with this truck and trailer combo and the camera system worked just fine. We have a 2024 Lacrosse 3375FE travel trailer. My question is will I need this adapter in the future or not? Is this an intermittent issue or is it prevalent immediately? Thanks

@Wayne So you did or didn't use the adapter? It's my understanding that this is an ongoing thing and the adapter is absolutely needed.

@BryceD i did not use the adapter. It has been working fine the two times I have pulled trailer.

@Wayne That's interesting. It was my understanding that it is all of the new GM trucks have PWM and require the adapter to give the cameras enough power, but since yours works fine without it I'm guessing they must've changed something where the adapter is not needed.
