Troubleshooting Clicking Sound of Stromberg RV Landing Gear Motor LG-142178

Question:
LG-142178 motor. At level when raising landing gear I get a clicking noise and no longer wants to go up. There is plenty of room to travel but will go no further. Do you think it is the motor or the gears.

Sounds like you are hearing the motor either failing or the battery is too weak to turn your current motor. I would check to make sure the battery is in good shape and if it is then I would replace it with the part # LG-142178.
