Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Dexter double eye leaf spring. Now this leaf spring is designed to keep your trailer riding level and stable, especially when you're hauling those heavier loads. This spring is rated for 1,875 pounds of capacity, and since springs are meant to be used in pairs when matched together, they're going to fit a standard 3,750 pound axle set up. Now getting my tape measure here, let me measure the length measuring center of eye to center of eye, and trying to line that up as best as I can.
It looks like we're sitting right at 26 inches on center. So that's important 'cause that length is gonna maintain your trailer's proper ride height and keep everything balanced while towing. The width of this spring is 1 3/4 inches. So this is built for a durable steel so it's made to handle regular road use and rougher terrain without wearing out quickly. The five leaf construction's going to give you strength and support, which is gonna help prevent sagging over time.
And because this uses a double eye design, this is going to give you smoother handling and reduced bouncing in your suspension, giving you a more controlled comfortable tow. I totally get wanting to buy USA-made, but Dexter is still a reliable brand. While they are manufactured overseas, the I think you'll find the quality is still there. :)

Install looks great, Christopher! This is an upgrade a lot of people are doing lately and it will be a big improvement from what you originally had installed! Any more trips planned for the year or are you getting everything ready for next season?
