Question:

What are the useable dimensions of each compartment, and can each be independantly set to be freezer/fridge temperatures, i.e. all 4 combinations of left/right compartment being a fridge/freezer?

Both compartments of the Everchill Electric Cooler # EV57FR have independent temperature settings that you can set within fridge or freezer temperatures allowing for four combinations like you were thinking. The left compartment is 10-1/4" wide x 17" deep x 11-3/4" long and the right compartment is 7-3/4 wide x 10-1/4" deep x 11-3/4" long. There is a bit of a taper down from the top so it's actually 12" up top and tapers down to 11-3/4" on the length. I drew up a little diagram to show this.
