The best hitch for your 2023 Subaru Ascent is going to be the EcoHitch Trailer Hitch item # 306-X7381. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Subaru with included hardware.

I really like the EcoHitch because it installs behind your rear bumper cover and can be completely hidden when you are not towing. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 5,000 lbs towing capacity, and a 750 lbs maximum tongue weight.
