Do the Lippert SolidStep RV Steps Require a 1/4" Gap Under the Door

Question:
I really want to buy the Lippert steps, 791573, but am afraid the door will not close since I do not have a 1/4 gap at the bottom of the door. My TT is a 2016 Open Range 274rls.

I wish that I could alleviate your concerns. But the Lippert SolidStep RV Steps # LC791573 does require a gap of 1/4"-3/8" for proper closure. This is not typically an issue on a 2016 or newer travel trailer. But, with you already measuring and not having 1/4", it seems like it may not work.
About the only thing I can recommend is double checking the measurement. I would also take the measurement with the door seal compressed because the that will give you a more accurate number for gap since the seal can slide over the mounting bracket of the Lippert SolidStep RV Steps # LC791573.
