Question:
I have an Outdoors RV 28DBS. its dry weight is 8100 lbs and fully loaded with water and gear its around 10000 lbs. The axles that came with it are Dexter 5200 but they have been bent after about 13000 miles of travel and accordion to a trailer shop near us should be replaced. We are interested in an axle-less solution like the Timbren but want to ensure the solution works for us for the next 5 - 10 years with no issues. Should we go with the 7000lb axles and what brakes? I have uploaded some pictures. Thanks

For a complete brake system setup using the Timbren kit on your Outdoors RV Back Country Series 28DBS you need the following parts:
- 7K Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # TASR7KS01
- Self-Adjusting Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-7-SA
- Easy Grease Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K (You Need Qty 2)
The parts listed above are for 1 axle system so you'll need to double the order to replace the tandem axle setup on your trailer. Since this is a heavy duty setup you'll need to have a crossbeam support in place. If your trailer doesn't already have this then you can add a support by installing a 2" x 3" steel piece of tubing through the square holes in the Timbren mounting brackets.
The Timbren kits come with a 3-year limited lifetime warranty so while that's a bit short of the 5 - 10 year timespan you're looking for, I can say that the Timbren rubber suspension pieces are very durable and our customers have been very happy with their performance.
I noticed in the photos you sent in that your tires have seen better days so if you'd like to replace those as well while you have everything apart I recommend the Taskmaster Provider:
- Taskmaster Provider ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # TTWTRTM2358016E
