Rough roads don’t have to mean a rough ride. This suspension replaces standard leaf springs with progressive-rate Aeon rubber springs that compress and stiffen as the load increases. They soak up road shock and rebound in a controlled way, keeping your trailer steady and quiet whether it’s empty or fully loaded. The result is less bounce, less rattle, and better protection for the trailer and everything inside.
Uneven ground can make one axle work harder than the other, but not with this setup. The walking beam design uses a single pivot point to transfer weight smoothly between both axles. That equalizing action keeps all tires in contact with the road, improving stability and reducing stress on the frame and suspension parts. It’s built to handle up to 7,000 lbs total capacity and keep things level no matter where you tow.
Leaf springs can clunk and chatter when lightly loaded or off-balance. The fitted rubber bushings in this system keep the control arms fully engaged so the springs are always working. You get quieter operation with no metal-on-metal noise and a stable feel through corners or over washboard roads. Each side of the suspension reacts independently to bumps so rolling and sway are kept in check.
The heavy-duty steel arms and brackets are powder coated for long-term rust resistance, giving you a durable suspension that stands up to miles of use without constant maintenance. The system bolts or welds onto a 2" x 4" hollow steel crossmember with 3/16" wall thickness (not included) using Grade-5, 5/8" bolts (not included). Once installed, it’s virtually maintenance-free so you can keep towing without worry.
Engineered specifically for tandem-axle trailers with 3" diameter axles, this system provides 2-1/2" of travel with regular axles and a frame-to-axle distance of about 6-3/8". The kit includes two suspension units rated for a combined 7,000 lbs capacity, backed by a 5-year limited warranty plus a 10-year warranty on the rubber bushings and springs. It’s a solid upgrade that turns an ordinary suspension into one that rides smooth, quiet, and balanced every time you tow.

After a year and approximately 8k mi on the suspension, the Timbren Silent Ride seems strong. The silent aspect of this suspension is no longer silent after things have broken in but not nearly as squeaky as the leaf setup. My stock 2-38” axle beams are slightly bent up at the ends so I’m in the process of upgrading those to 3”. I would also like the next step up in springelastomer but can’t justify the price north of $500 for the 4 rubber springs. When loaded I only have about 1-34” up travel currently before axle bottoms out on frame. My only complaint or recommendation would be for future designs to enable more suspension articulation and up travel capabilities.

So far all is great! The highways around here are in horrible condition. My trailer has the straight high brush fenders so you can see the tires and axles in the side mirror as you drive. Those tires are jumping like crazy on the rough pavement, but the trailer body is so smooth the cows think theyre riding in a Cadillac!
