Question:
For a 2023 Kia Telluride, please compare the benefits/disadvantages of using 7-way part #22551 with using a combination of the 4-way C59236 harness and the 7-way ETBC7L upgrade. I have no need for a 4-way. Ive seen both options recommended on etrailer. Thanks.

Using the Universal Wiring Harness w/ ModuLite and Brake Controller Harness # 22551 on your 2023 Kia Telluride will allow you to use a dash mounted brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195. It also only has a 7-way connection which would require you to use an Adapter # 78118 for a smaller trailer with only a 4-way connectorl
The combination of the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter # C59236 and 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit # ETBC7L would require you to use a wireless/Bluetooth brake controller like the Curt Echo # C51180. This kit also gives you a 7-way blade and 4-flat connector which are the most common connectors used on trailers.
