Will the Reese 26003 Reese Sway Control Adapter fit on the Rigid Hitch Class III, IV Hitch Ball Mount UB-208-B? The ball mount platform must be 2-1/2 wide and have a 1 ball hole. The adapter is made of 3/8 thick material and mounts under the hitch ball.

Expert Reply:
The Reese Sway-Control Bracket for 2" Ball Mounts part # RP26003 works with any ball mount that has a platform narrower than 2-5/8 and with a 1" diameter hitch ball hole. The adapter is also 3/8" thick so you need to be sure your hitch ball has some additional shank to accommodate this. Unfortunately, we don't carry the ball mount you said you have so I won't be able to obtain these dimensions for you to confirm compatibility, you will need to do this yourself.
If your ball mount is not compatible, I instead recommend just going with the Curt Ball Mount with Sway Control Tab part # D320 since it already have the sway control tab welded on.
