What Should Hanger Spacing be If Trailer Leaf Spring is 25-1/4 inches Long
Published 03/08/2023 >
Question:
My leaf spring broke on the road and I could not find the same length replacement. My old spring was a 3 leaf that was 27 1/8inch long, the new springs are 4 leaf but only 25 1/4inch long, My hanger spacing is 27. Do i need to buy a new shackle kit and relocate the hangers? and what spacing should I use if I do?

If the shackles you have now are still good you can reuse them but you would want to use a hanger spacing of right at 25 inches since your leaf springs are 25-1/4 inch. For replacement shackle straps you could use the part # TRSL225 for a 2-1/4 inch long shackle.
