Question:

We have a Jayco Northpoint 2021, with two Solera electric awnings. We have had it stored for the last couple of months and now both awnings won’t extend, the motors aren’t even making noise. The built in lights are working. I’m at a loss for what to do.

If I had to take a guess, I would say the batteries are dead. This is rather common when someone goes to get in their camper after it sits in the offseason for a few months. I know you said you have power to the lights but the lights only consume a very small amount of power to function so it's likely there's enough power for the lights, but not the awning motor which draws much more. I recommend a full battery charge before proceeding with troubleshooting.

If the awning still does not operate even with the batteries at full charge, you'd first want to pop off the awning head cover and apply power directly to the motor. If they don't operate with direct power then you know it's bad and needs replaced. For this, we have the Replacement Motor for Solera Power RV Awnings part # LC266149 for before 2015 or part # LC373566 for after 2015. If the motor does operate with direct power then there may be a switch or wiring issue. I have attached a wiring diagram below to assist with this. If it's all wired correct then it might be the switch and in which case I recommend Replacement Switch Kit for Solera Power RV Awnings part # LC285499.
