Recommended Transmission Cooler for 2018 Ford Explorer

Question:

I have a 2018 Explorer 3.5 4wd xlt suv. I am going to be towing a 3000 pound travel trailer. I did not get the tow package but I do have a class 3 hitch and I was looking into putting a trans cooler to help. Need help picking the right set up. I have a 6F50 transmission .

The transmission cooler I recommend for a 2018 Ford Explorer is the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit part # D13504 which is a complete kit that comes with everything needed for installation. This is a class iv cooler that measures 11" wide x 12" tall x 7/8" deep so as long as you have this much space in front of the cooler there will be no fit issues. The cooler will do a great job of keeping transmission fluid temperatures down which extends the lift of the transmission and provides better performance.
