4-Way and 7-Way Trailer Wiring Harness For a 2023 Mazda CX-50 With Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver

Question:

I have purchased and installed the Class III trailer for my 2023 Mazda CX-50, however, I need the correct wiring harness. I believe the CX-50 Turbo requires a 7-pin harness. Can you please tell me what the correct wiring harness is? Thanks!

Currently the Vehicle Wiring Harness # C45FV is the only custom fit wiring harness available for your 2023 Mazda CX-50. This harness is for a 4-way flat connector that will fit most of the smaller trailers you may tow. This will likely be the most useful wiring as I see your CX-50 has a maximum towing capacity of 2,000lbs to 3,500lbs depending on your exact factory options. You can always check with your dealer to determine your exact towing capacity. A Mounting Bracket # C58001 will allow you to run the 4-way out of your rear storage area and mount it to your Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C38BR.

If your trailer does fall within your towing capacity but you require a 7-way the Universal Wiring Harness w/ ModuLite and Brake Controller Harness # 22551 will allow you to hardwire in a 7-way. This will allow you to also install a Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Trailer Brake Controller # RED24FR using an Adapter # 331-TPH-017. You will be able to secure the 7-way on your Curt Receiver # C38BR using a Mounting Bracket # C58000.
