Recommended Rear Suspension Enhancement For a 2022 Ram 1500 To Maintain Safety and Ride Quality
Published 12/09/2022 >
Question:
Recently purchased a Grand Design Reflection travel trailer weighing 8,000 lbs., with a tongue weight of 900. Noticed that my headlights were a little high while towing although the sag was not easily noticeable. I have an Equalizer weight distribution hitch with 1000 lb spring bars which the RV dealer adjusted for the load. I would like to know the best way to beef up the rear suspension so that I dont compromise safety or the great ride when the 2022 RAM 1500 crew cap 4wd 5.7L E-torque is not towing.

I recommend installing the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-307-47 on your 2022 Ram 1500. These progressive springs will help you maintain your ride quality when unloaded but will also provide up to 1,500lbs of support to the rear suspension when needed. Do remember this will not increase payload or towing capacity. They are simply used to improve ride quality while towing and reduce suspension sag.
