Is the Go Power Heavy-Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter Enough to Run Electronics

Updated 11/14/2022 | Published 11/12/2022

Question:

I have your Go Power 3000 watt inverter in my RV. I checked the output voltage on my unit and it read 102 volts. Is that sufficient for my electronics and other needs? Is there a way to adjust the output voltage?

The Go Power Heavy-Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter # 34280178 is an industrial inverter that provides AC power for electronics and appliances. It has a 3,000 watt running power output. This is more instrumental than the voltage output. However, 102 volts is too low of an output, I would ensure that you have proper input voltage going into the inverter. Whether this is sufficient to run your electronics and other needs is going to depend on what you are trying to run and the size of your battery bank.

For instance a typical 800 watt microwave oven will drawn approximately 1,200 watts. This inverter a good for resistive loads like electric heaters, toasters, and incandescent lights. The larger your battery bank, the more/longer you will be able to run your electronics. There is not a way to adjust the voltage output on the inverter.
