I recommend replacing both your axles and suspension systems with 2 of the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension Systems # ASR3500S06. This will allow you to bolt the assemblies to the trailer frame and still has the 4" drop like your current axles. Those axles and the suspension were an older system from MORryde which is no longer used on trailers. The Timbren has the suspension built in so there will be no additional parts to have welded to the frame. You need to replace both axles so they will both have the same suspension systems this way one axle does not support the trailer as the other has a softer suspension.
You will need 2 of the Electric Trailer Brake Kits # AKEBRK-35-SA and 4 of the Easy Grease Trailer Hub and Drum Assemblies # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K to complete both axles with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. If you have the larger 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern you will need 2 sets of the same Brake Kits # AKEBRK-35-SA and 4 of the Hubs # AKHD-655-35-EZ-K.
