I just made a purchase of some bunk bracketts my question is this a good idea? For our pontoon I just built. Is I it okay to take regular 2x6 and cover it with fiberglass resin and tyen cover it with bunk carpet. My pontoon is20 feet. I just dont care for treated lumber at all.

It would be ok for your to cover them fiberglass resin and tyen cover. You will not having any problems doing so. The CE Smith V-Wing Bolster Bracket for Pontoon Boat Trailers # CE26244G will provide a strong mounting platform for your bunk boards. They have a galvanized steel construction which is sturdy and resists corrosion.
